A run that is! Attempted to do a little run last Wednesday one of the hotter days we've had this summer. Not only was I recovering from a cold and had a bit of a chesty cough but the promenade was full of people. So the combination of not being able to breath properly, being extremely unfit and very conscious of my appearance I ended up turning around after about 8 minutes and did the walk of shame back to the car on the beach!!! Very annoyed with myself!
Ok, so I've sort of recovered from the chesty cough and cold (although the presence of numerous snot rags everywhere may indicate that I'm not fully recovered). Put my alarm on nice and early... Actually there is nothing nice about 6.30 on a Sunday morning.
Kit on and not exactly raring to go but I parked up in the usual place and took the attitude that the half marathon is about completing not competing so I took it a but slower to improve my stamina. Ended up doing blocks of 4 minutes of running instead. Not too bad but had to decrease it a few times.
Anyway, overall not a bad run considering!

The plan is to go for a run tomorrow morning as I'm going to be busy marking assignments all day tomorrow probably into the night. Maybe Zumba on Tuesday?
