Oh dear... This is tougher than I thought!

So, I've been unwell this week as I can't seem to shift this cold and cough but I decided to get out there again as I'm conscious that the half marathon is getting closer and the weather isn't on my side.

Checked the weather last night which indicated that it was going to be ok this morning. Started my run in the usual spot this time with my running jacket. About a third of the way there opposite st Helen's ground my calves were hurting and my hip was niggling.

Up to that point I'd done 5 minutes of running and 2 minutes of walking. I gave up at this point and started my walk back. Again feeling quite annoyed with myself. BUT I decided to run again as it was simply taking ages to get back. I decided on running faster for 1 minute and then walking for 1 minute. This certainly challenged my fitness as it got harder and harder. But I felt so much better for it.

Somehow I've got to strengthen my calves if I'm going to do this and of course keep losing the weight!

Here are my very sorry results:

Duration: 39' 35"
Pace: 13' 45" /mi
Distance: 2.88 mi
Calories: 381

Seriously need to get back out there tomorrow and stick to 4 mins and 2 mins walking.

:-(
